The way we watch video is modifying, with
web pages such as, YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu and Grabeoid Video we are no longer
confined to a TV. Not only has modern technology allowed us to watch videos
through our laptops, we can now view lovely high definition video through
mobile phones, and Internet connected TV's.
Basing on the Social Times about 340,000
years of Internet video production is enjoyed everyday, if that is true it does
not amaze me that more than 500 videos are tweeted each and every minute.
YouTube alone is the 2nd most populated
site on the Internet, with an unbelievable 800 million users monthly and 500
years of video is distributed through Facebook every single day.
Recently the Earth's population reached 7
billion, with 2 billion being connected online and 5 billion connected over
Mobil devises, granting us easy access to global markets. Not only has the
everyday person benefited from it so has various types businesses and
organisations.
What only had a regional reach can now
reach global markets and it's not just the worldwide reach, it's also the time
it takes for the video to reach that audience. Imagine you run a business and
your video to goes viral, you could probably reach millions of people in an
extremely short period of time, for a fraction of the money it would certainly
cost you to market through TV.
Even the TV channels are complying with
this change and an ideal example of it is BBC Iplayer, that lets you to watch
your favorite TV productions through the Web.
